Visual Artist & Muralist - Currently working in Las Vegas, NV
Eric Vozzola is a studio artist, muralist, and graphic designer based in Las Vegas, NV. He received his BFA in Graphic Design from UNLV in 2011. Eric has shown studio work in solo and group shows locally and nationally, and has multiple public art pieces around Vegas. He is currently a senior designer on the creative team at The Venetian Resort, lead designer for the art-forward ocean conservation non-profit, PangeaSeed Foundation, and works on his art practice out of his home studio in downtown Las Vegas.
Eric Vozzola’s ultimate goal with his work is to create a symbiotic relationship between art and design by exploring the intersection of analog and digital. Traversing a variety of media, color theory, and visual motifs, Eric works with painting, drawing, digital media, and installation. Vozzola’s studio art and mural work are continuously inspired by his graphic design background, and vice versa. His visual language ranges from the balance of abstract patterns and intersections of color, to textural landscapes and surreal environments. Eric is known for his use of vibrant color palettes and nods to his surrounding desert environment as he examines the world around him. His love for music, his travels, and his curiosity of the human condition are underlying threads within his work. Vozzola creates his own dynamic universe through his art – places where thoughts can wander and mindfulness can be achieved.
Vozzola’s most recent exhibits are Symbiosis at the UNLV Alumni Center Gallery, Low Res (solo) at Whitney Library Gallery in Las Vegas, NV, Surreal Salon 9 at Baton Rouge Gallery in Baton Rouge, LA, Landscapes at Las Laguna Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA, A Visual Language (Solo) at Winchester Cultural Center Gallery in Las Vegas, NV. He has a large installation currently project in the works, which may not be revealed until late 2019.
Eric’s public art pieces include murals and an interactive install for Life Is Beautiful Festival in 2017, 2016, and 2015, a full building mural with the Cultural Corridor Coalition and City of Las Vegas, utility box murals in different parts of the Vegas Valley for ZAP7 and ZAP9 with Clark County, along with private murals for local businesses, community partners, and collectors.
