Commissioned painting for a client in Las Vegas, NV, to evoke joy and warmth from any angle. This piece is inspired by the desert and cacti, and is heavily influenced by the colors yellow and orange. It contains a vibrant balance of patterns and geometry mixed with the natural cacti elements, all flowing in and out of each other – a reminder that happiness and joy also flow from inside oneself.

Commissioned painting for a client in Blue Diamond, NV, custom-made to fit a specific wall in their beautiful home. This piece is inspired by the desert and surrounding environment to the client’s custom home, which is built into the mountain and exemplifies the organic and natural elements where it lives. The artwork’s focal point is a Joshua Tree silhouette, surrounded by mountainous views found beyond the home, as well as other graphic and vibrant elements relating to my usual work.

Commissioned painting for a client in Las Vegas, NV, which features their home collaged in a vibrant array of geometry, patterns, and texture found in some of my past pieces. The typical Las Vegas track home isn’t normally the most interesting subject matter, but this piece challenged me to take the mundane-to-some and turn into a heartfelt and contemporary focal point within my style of work.

This piece was inspired by a camping trip Kira, her parents, and I went on in Pine Valley, Utah in July 2019. We caught and released almost 20 rainbow trout, and upon returning home from that trip, I couldn’t get the image of the trout out of my head until I painted. I used the innocent trout image as a metaphor for a deeper meaning of life and death. The microcosm of the trout being food to man or the ecosystem it lives in, symbolism of fire as a catalyst for both life and death, and the complex collage of black and white patterns is an abstract representation of light and dark/life and death. All of these thoughts together create a lighthearted image with a much more complex feeling that everyone interprets the same, but different.

This painting was created in partnership with the fine people (and product) of Dunn Edwards Paints. They asked me to create a piece using some of their 2018 color palette trends, so I chose two trends: "The Stars" (a vibrant collection of popping hues) and "Adventure" (rich, natural tones). Those names themselves reminded me of a camping trip I took circa 2015 with a few of my closest buddies, where we hiked and camped up 11,000 ft and stargazed during a Persied Meteor Shower. One of my favorite trips to date, easily became the perfect pairing with the Dunn Edwards color palettes, and literally was an adventure fueled by finding the stars.

Made this piece for some great friends, Noam and Michelle, as a wedding gift. Kira and I attended their wedding in May 2019 on the Oregon coast which inspired this entire piece. From the beauty of the Oregon landscape to the celebrations of Noam and Michelle, there was plenty of symbolism to incorporate into this piece. One fun Easter egg is the pixel bar in the lower right hand corner cascading from white, to red, to black – the colors of the Portland Trailblazers – where I got the namesake of the piece, and representing Noam’s diehard love for his hometown team.

For this piece, I’m focusing on the environmental issue of warming oceans due to climate change and human impact via this yin and yang/above-below visual translation. The image describes a radiating sun, melting ice caps, an ocean turning acidic with rising temperatures, and coral fading from color to bleached - significant consequences due to our oceans warming. 

This piece was part of the group show “In Peril,” in Santa Cruz, CA in September 2019, and curated by PangeaSeed Foundation and sponsored by Patagonia. Each artist was given a Patagonia branded garment to create an original artwork with to bring awareness to ocean issues and conservation.

When we strip away all titles and status, we realize we are all the same. This is nothing new, however, that connectivity lies in infinite layers, all the way down to intangible energy. So when we speak of each other, there is no "They" – only "Us."
